Best everGreat product! Eliminates a few steps from my wine making. Love the contour bottom. Reduces picking up solids when racking. Great construction. Well thought out.

Bombproof SimplicityLet me start off by saying that Anvil/Blichmann customer service is top notch. I've been brewing for over 25 years, however I am by no means set in my ways. I follow the latest trends and techniques when it comes to brewing, but so many home brewers overcomplicate the process. This fermenter has everything you need and nothing you don't and it is practically bombproof. It's a breeze to clean and sanitize, easy to add dry hops to and will have you fermenting incredible beer. I've had numerous glass carboys and about every type of plastic fermenter out there and this is by far the best fermenter you can buy in my opinion. There are a lot more expensive and complicated options, but keep in mind with more components comes higher probability of contaminating your beer. Like myself and so many others, you will wonder why you didn't get this Stainless Steel Anvil Bucket Fermenter sooner.

Why oh why did it take me so long to buy this!Like a lot of people I started with glass. After many years I moved to plastic because of the wider mouth making it easier to dry hop. However I was never happy with plastic but stuck with them because of cost and perceived safety over glass. After hearing from others in my homebrew club how awesome stainless steel brew buckets were I decided to upgrade to this. WHY OH WHY DID IT TAKE ME THIS LONG TO UPGRADE!!! First of all the access to the contents is bar none the best. Dry hopping is a dream. Cleaning takes two seconds because of said access so there are no nooks or crannies where debris can hide. Empty this thing is so lightweight and super easy to carry due to its nice handles. And the best part in my book, a lid that clamps down solidly so I can do my oxygen free transfers with ease. Who would have thought a "bucket" would have upped my brewing game?

Kicking myself for not buying sooner. The title says it all. I am honestly kicking myself for not buying this sooner. Like almost everyone, I started with glass but then moved to plastic due to the wide mouth for dry hopping. I was never happy with plastic but stuck with it until I finally talked myself into buying this. WHY OH WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO BUY THIS!!

Best Fermenter I've UsedI used this for the first time about a month ago. First I will say this is not a unitank or true conical but it does work well for non pressure fermentations. I just was able to try the first brew out of it this weekend. It turned out pretty good but the fermentation was great I was able to rack off with out any trub and I have a very clear Irish Red. Clean up was almost as easy as rinse it and a quick scrub with a soft sponge after I did my normal soak with OXY clean, although probably necessary. The temp control kit did its job very well as long as I keep ice in the cooler. The only complaint I have and it is minor, and I have already solved, is the hoses have to be press fit onto the coiling tube every time or you have to drag them around until you get to your sink and are ready to remove the bung in the top of the fermenter. I was able to take a 1/4" compression fitting with a 1/4" nylon ferrule that when loosened a little bit will slip off easily. Yeah you do need a wrench but its only a quarter turn but is a simple cost effective way to fix the only real problem I have with this bucket.

Great Stainless Steel FermenterAfter brewing for years using glass carboys and seeing the dangers of glass breakage on all my home brew forums, I decided to invest in a stainless steel fermenter. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better product. It's more durable, extremely lightweight, and easier to carry than traditional glass carboys. Being able to easily clean it out and quick sanitation, I tend to space my batches so I don't have to deal with the glass carboy. Although it's 3x the cost of glass, it was well worth the purchase. I am looking at purchasing another one when the funds permit. If I was allowed to give it a star rating, it would easily be 5 stars.
